Servant Leaders
What does it take to be a Servant Leader?
It means this: “Jesus called the disciples together and said, ‘You know that those who are regarded rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.’”
Servant Leaders are a special group of people who desire to live out Mark 10:42-45 (above). What does it take? It takes a willingness to serve others above self.
Servant Leaders are a group of 10-12 students who meet on a monthly basis to review what’s been happening in our ministry, plan for special events, and make important decisions for URSM. Servant Leaders are the “voice” of the youth ministry to the youth pastor and other youth workers. In many ways, URSM is what it is because of faithful, God-loving Servant Leaders who desire the best for this ministry.
Each April applications become available and interviews are held in May. You can download the application here (available in April).
