The Cross

Monday, 08 Sep, 2008 — by URSM

Did you know?  Did you know that the Upper Room has had a cross on the wall?  Yep, it is true.  It has been covered by the screen we use for lyrics for many years now.  Some of you know it is there, some of you have never seen it.

So, we are doing a survey.

Is it important for us to have a cross in the Upper Room?

If so, where should we put the cross to make it more visible?

We would love your feedback.  So, copy and paste those two questions and leave us a comment by clicking below.

Have a superb week and thanks for your help!

you should put it on the slanted wall facing the game room…that way people can see it as they walk into the Upper Room.

I feel like I might be able to give some history on where the cross came from. The cross that is being spoken of is a simple cross of 2x4’s. It was built nearly 10 years ago out of some spare lumber from one of our mission trips to Mexico. When they got back, it was placed in front of the room before the screen was put there. Even after the screen was installed, the screen was not covering it up all the time until more recent years.
Personally, as someone who has been involved in URSM for many years, I would love to see it remain up in the room somewhere that is visible.
I just thought some information about where this cross came from would be helpful.
