What are we all about at Upper Room Student Ministries?

One: “Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” (Matthew 22:37-40)

Two: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:10-20)

Through these Biblical truths, we are all about connecting Jr. and Sr. High students to a God who loves them deeply.

We have a blast around here, but all of that leads us into a deeper and richer relationship with Jesus Christ. Ultimately, URSM is about relationships. Today more than ever it can be a brutal world out there. You can find a safe place here with URSM and hopefully everything you do with us will feel like a big bear hug. We want to connect with you, help you connect with God and with each other, and then encourage you to reach out to others.

Everything we do has a purpose. We value your time and your family’s time so we want to make sure that we put our best foot forward with everything we do. A quote you will hear and see a lot around here is this: “URSM exists to share the love of Jesus Christ and encourage spiritual growth through reaching out to others, building meaningful friendships, and living a life of worship and compassionate service.”

That’s it! Whether it is going on “Destination Unknown” (Reaching Out), going to “Summer Camps” (Building Meaningful Friendships), going on a “Retreat” (Spiritual Growth), attending a worship service (Living a Life of Worship), or going on a “Mission Trip” (Compassionate Service), we strive to embody what it means to BE the church in everything we do.

We are about loving God, loving others, and having a ton of fun along the way! A lifetime of memories are created here at URSM and we want nothing more than for you to be a part of those memories!
